This is a very interesting post, I was interested to hear that AI causes an acidic system, I have just been looking into alkalising and actually wrote an article about it http://www.innerbeam.com/2011/02/body-balance.html.

I wrote about how an acidic system can lead to issues such as AI, so which comes first? The AI or the acidity...or is it a vicious cycle? As I have recently been experiencing hypo symptoms after nearly a year of hyper, alkalinity came up for me as an important topic to address..infact I dreamt about it which is what prompted my blog post.

I never heard of this phenomenon but the many times neutral to warm red turns cherry on me...and sometime cherry just turn fuchsia even when I wipe the lip color off on tissue...Anyway, my lip color/skin does have a strong purple undertone anyway.
