I have a transgender sister and while explaining to my (then) 7 year old that her uncle was not her aunt he look perplexed for a few minutes, then gave me a huge smile and said "I get it that makes her my ankle!". That was the limit of our discussions and his acceptance of the whole process - how I wish the rest of humankind could just follow suit. Hi Sarah,
