a quick explanation of that book widget to the right there

You might have noticed that Amazon carousel book thingo I’ve stuck on my site. It’s a bunch of books that I love, that have made my life better, and that I mention on this blog at some point. Bad idea? Annoy you at all?
To be upfront: if you buy the books via that widget I get some affiliate percentage for suggesting it to you. But I thought it might be handy for some…hmmm….
I like it! I’ve added most to my amazon wishlist for now, but that serves as my list for when I have spare cash to splurge on ME!

And on the topic of ‘monetising’ the site a little. GO FOR IT.
I get loads of pleasure out of your site, so i’m happy to see ads. I actively click away on ads for the 3 regularly blogs i visit. But not on yours. Because there are none. I want you guys to keep producing the content that i love so i’m cool to click occasionally

amazon sucks – support independent bookstores. encourage people to go into a shop to find these books, talk to an actual person; it will make life better, sweeter.
