just a cool bike shelf

I’m filming 14 hours today so am just posting a Quick Cool Thing I Found on The Interweb That Builds On My Campaign To Ride a Bike. Knife and Saw has made this beautiful device – perfect for all of those inspired by Jerry Seinfeld’s nifty innercity storage systems. 100923-bike1 100923-bike3

The shelf is about $US270, but it does double as a lovely display shelf.

Pretty. Aesthetically inspiring. And will hopefully add to all the triggers I plan to bludgeon you with over coming weeks that will hopefully get you on a bike (if you’re not already).

    humorously enough, this very item was ridiculed by BikesnobNYC earlier this week. Heather should have her boyfriend show her how to use the tablesaw and she could make her own bike rack shelf thingy.

    Hi Sarah, I just discovered your blog after reading the article in RideOn Mag. I love the bike hanger/bookshelf. Great idea.
    I am a fulltime artist but due to the GFC, things have been tough the last couple of years. I have always loved bikes and have decided to mix my 2 passions – Art and Bikes – so I want to buy old steel frames and customise them with an individual paint job and then build them up as a oneoff customised single speed/fixie. My intention is to let the frame dictate to some extent what is painted on it, ie: country of origin.
    I would like to send you some images of what I am doing to my old ’75 Raleigh for your opinion of this project, if that is ok.
