a reminder: life has improved…

I just came across this collection of ghastly ads from, well, not so long ago. It’s hard to believe that there are people still alive today who made these ads. It’s a reminder of why we need those bloody leftie, femmo, do-gooder, paradigm-questioning agitators. They shift shit.

I know they’re appalling but I also can’t help laughing because they’re just so over-the-top.

Oh dear God… the one with the breastfeeding women with the beer in her hand was pretty bad, but the racism ones were horrible.

Then, I got to the little girl and the “innocence is sexier than you think” tag line. I think I might vomit.

When you think about how little 50 years is in the scheme of history and cultural change it’s absolutely amazing how far we’ve come.

Do you think she’s enjoying the spanking in the first ad? xx

    Hi Sarah,

Not about the post, although did love it and love your blog.

I was wondering what brand your dress was that you wore to the Ivy Pool Party. I am living overseas at the moment, but usually call Sydney home and I simply have to have that dress!!!

    Cheers
