my “how i became a health coach” podcast. for you x
On Friday I did a webinar with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition about my journey with my health, why I changed my ways and how I became a qualified health coach. Was lovely to know many of you who read this blog tuned in. I felt the love over the webinarverse!
I know some of you couldn’t make it. And I said I’d post the link. So…here it is! (Click the “here”!).

This is awesome.
I really love the section where you talk about your auto-immune disease. I’m a bit crap at being thankful for my Hashi’s, I dont think I have come far enough in my grief process/ wellness journey that I can be grateful for it yet. Maybe soon, DEFINITELY one day but not yet. I’m still unraveling the knots, as you say. So you are very right when you say that community, and sharing your struggle, can really help people. It’s nice to think that freaky AI symptoms aren’t that freaky after all!

p.s. Why the right side of the body with the inflammation? I get that too, with my skin inflammations, I am right now! That made me smile, to know there are at least 2 more people out there with that!

Sarah .. my goodness, the parellels are endless. Not only re disease, but the life journey .. I had my thyroid removed 12 months ago and have been intrigued by your site and your “voice” since my endocrine adventure began. I’ve also recently been diagnosed with arenal fatigue and am trying to slow down .. but running the NY marathon, starting a new business, and trying to be a great wife, mother and friend sometimes meanthe habits of old are hard to shake. The simple lesson of being kind to one’s self seems so easy, yet it’s something I need to remind myself on a too frequent basis. I too get the inflammation thing too, mainly tingling in my lips.
I loved the podcast, and look forward to hearing more.
PS Is there such a thing as work life balance? I was striving for this for years and then I had a light bulb moment a few months ago where I realised that maybe really passionate driven people will struggle to achieve the “balance” (whatever that might be). For me right now, it’s about making time to get to bikram, hang out with my darling girl, get a good nights sleep (with or without melatonin)

Ha Thane, love your thinking. Agree, some of us aren’t great at the balance thing. So best we just be kind…as best we can…to ourselves. Marathons are probably not the BEST solution?

My resolve .. I’m taking up golf. I don’t play; I don’t even own a set of clubs, but I’m about to embark on a steep learning curve. No more marathons for the time being, though NY was amazing. And I’m going to blog about it (yes, more inspiration, thank you!) with a view to playing the game with interesting people and interviewing interesting people with links to health, fitness, etiquette, fashion etc .. and when it’s all up and running, I’d love to talk to you.
PS do you play golf and/or would you be willing to play a round with a golfing grommet?

Hi Sarah! I know it is an old post but the podcast is no longer available and I was wondering if there is anywhere else I can listen to it? Thanks
