Get on ya bike and go. That is of course, if the bloody thing has not already gone. I was sitting down having my lovely bowl of gluten free muesli with water while looking at an empty space that normally contained my precious treadle. It was bloody well nicked. It was a wet night and I failed to lock it up. So, I got Mr. Plod onto the job to get my beloved 21 speed bike back before my arse was too big. I searched high and low and across this ocean town, searching porn shops and whatnots, and on the end of a long sunny hot day in a dusty porn shop, low and behold I recovered my beloved treadle. There she was among the brica-brac waiting for the seven days to expire before she was put on the shop floor. Now, I have to wait for the fucking teeth pulling legal process to expire before I get her back. The point to be learnt and made here, no matter where you are, what the weather, lock-up, lock your bike to something solid. If you don’t have one, get one. Good luck to you all in winning the bike, but be sure to buy good lock!

Done. I was looking at a much cheaper bike without the gears today. It’s pretty, although not nearly as cute as this one. It’s been some years since I’ve ridden a bike but have been inspired by the posts on this blog to take the plunge. Thanks Sarah and everyone else who contributes for sharing so much. I find it incredibly inspiring particularly on those days/weeks when my own internal resources fail me.

Who won the bike? Have I missed the announcement on papillionaire Facebook page?
[Reply]
Yeah I was wondering about this too – I haven’t seen any announcement on the facebook page ..
[Reply]
Hi, if anyone is in a situation whereby they have purchased one of these bikes, or been given it as a gift, and have found that it is not quite for them or they are about to go o’seas etc…please let me know. I am chasing the Sommer Style, preferrable colour: Maya blue.
If not, I will hold tight for the new model coming out in April. Thanks, Selena
btw – I think a brisbane shop would do very well up here…my friends are also very keen on getting one!
[Reply]
Here’s hoping!
[Reply]
Love!!!! The perfect Summer accessory!
