A Friday giveaway! 25 Loving Earth “almond butter bark” packs

Posted on June 15th, 2012

Because it’s a Friday. And because you might be in a baking frame of mind, with the weekend looming…I thought it might be nice to do another giveaway. This time Loving Earth are generously giving away

25 almond butter bark packs, each valued at $20

Each pack contains coconut flakes and cacao nibs, to help get you geared up to make my almond butter bark, one of the sweet treats in my I Quit Sugar Cookbook.

I’m a fan of Loving Earth – their products, and their ethos. Everything is sugar, dairy and gluten free, as well as being minimally processed, and not made with synthetic fertilizers, chemical pesticides, or herbicides. And if you’ve bought my cookbook, you’d have noticed a lot of their products throughout!

To be in the running to win one of these packs, simply buy your copy of the I Quit Sugar Cookbook by clicking on the button below – before 5pm Wednesday June 20 – and we’ll randomly select 25 winners.

* This competition is available to Australian residents only. Sorry!

No fair! I bought my copy ages ago. In jan. and there were no offers then and I guess if like me you bought early and have been on he program for ages now and stuck to it, then don’t qualify for that. Boo hol. ( I’m still happy to be doing IQS though! So that makes me. Winner!

    Jo Foster Reply:

Allie – this is for the cookbook, which has only been available since May. But yes, you’re still a winner! That made me laugh!

This always seems a bit of a money grab – buy my book and you’ll get a free gift, what about those who already got the book?? I don’t think you know how to maintain the loyalty of your database Sarah.

    Jac Reply:

Agree Craig…why not just give away something for the hell of it without there being a catch.

For me, this site is all about consumerism now run by Sarah Greedy Wilson

    [Reply]

    Claire Reply:

This is so mean. I never get involved in online bickering but I just couldn’t not reply to you. Sarah’s not being greedy. She has spent so much time and energy creating a product that has true value. Why not promote it?! This is Sarah’s JOB. It’s how she makes a living. If you have an issue with greedy consumerism there are plenty of other places you could better direct your negativity.

    Claire Reply:

it’s just coconut flakes and cacao nibs FFS.

    Mia Bluegirl Reply:

It’s called marketing. It’s about making your product appeal to a wider audience. A necessary part of any business and even more important when you work for yourself. It’s an incredibly basic concept.

Although you did just say you want strangers to give you things for free then called SOMONE ELSE greedy, so I’m not quite sure why I’m bothering to explain this…

Hi Sarah, just had a look over the Loving Earth site as it sounded great – but turns out a lot of their ‘sugar free’ products are sweetened with agave – which is actually higher in fructose than ‘normal’ white table sugar… you have actually covered that in your blog before (& mentioned their chocolate specifically) so just surprised now by this promo.

this is from one of your blog posts:
“Loving Earth chocolate contains agave, which is 90 per cent fructose. Which is not what you want to be eating. Health food shops are awash with agave-sweetened, “sugar-free” products. Be very aware!”

I have bought your new cookbook but to be honest haven’t had a chance to go through it in detail – will have to check if it is ‘sugar free’ or fructose free… seems to be a confused message here.

    Lee Reply:

I was wondering the same thing about the Loving Earth products re-agave.Have avoided all things agave since I finished my bottle (wasn’t going to waste it) and after I read Sweet Poison. No Natvia for me either.

    Sarah Reply:

Sarah actually answered this in a previous post. She said she loves the products such as raw cacao, but steers clear of the bars etc which contain agave. No mixed messages

This is frustrating. I bought my book – I didn’t pre-order so I just bought my book at full price. Why is it that these offers or competitions only come up after a while purely to encourage more people to purchase your book? I don’t understand why it is that not everyone who has bought the book not be entitiled to be eligable to be in the running for any giveaways etc. It seems that sometimes the most loyal are the ones that miss out. Seems even the ones whom pre purchased have yet to be compensated for their eagerness

Congratualtions on a wonderful cookbook. Since giving up sugar in Feb this year I have been thinking that there needs to cookbooks and recipes that help us look at food combinations in completely different ways to develop a whole range of non fructose yummy food. – Sarah you’ve don’t it!

One day food manufactures will realise that there’s $$$ in for them to make food for us to grab at the supermarket or even online while we are a small group! In the meantime – it’s back to the kitchen for us!
Just clarifying… in your recipe “grain-free power bars” is there any rice malt syrup in there? For the stove top version it says “heat all the wet ingredients” does that mean just the coconut oil?
