How awesome are the people at Eco Tan! They’re really lovely. I had a good chat to them at the Organic Expo a few weeks back. I got given 1 freebie, you got given 15, which makes me think they like you 15 times better than me LOL!
So glad 15 lucky readers are going to get to try it for free. Freebies rock
I’m still on the hunt for one that’s not floral. I think I might try the Sukin one or try your tea bag trick, the ‘bi-carb soda’ version of self tanning. (Bi-carb is like coconut oil, a million and one uses).
[Reply]
All signed up and keen to hear more of Sarah’s wise words each week xx

All signed up! Thanks sarah

You read my mind! I was just looking online for info about safe fake tan. Thanks

Fake tans are such a worry (along with most cosmetics). Thanks for bringing this one to our attention – will definitely give it a go! Not sure how much you’ve covered deodorants, but after spending a small fortune on various natural options, I’ve found the Body Crystal (less than $10 from most Coles and health food stores), to work REALLY well. It simply stops the bacteria from multiplying – no masking smells, no blocking pores. Have a great day!

Your post yesterday was perfect timing, I have so many weddings coming up in the next few months and am dreading baring my white legs! It also reminded me that I need to get Summer ready and go out and buy a good toxin free sunscreen, so I re-read that post as well!
Thanks for such informative informative Sarah

if you want something that’s just ‘rub on / wash off’, for weddings, Inika have a gorgeous bronzing essentials gift pack with an organic lotion, bronzing powder, eye shadow and lip gloss. There’s a few people who sell them online if you don’t have a shop near you that sells Inika. Otherwise the Eco Tan is great as it lasts a few days.

Having almost licked the auto-immune/hashimotos disaster, I can tell you that products like this are big part of getting better! Eco Tan is amazing, if you don’t win it, just buy it online. With more support, Australian innovators like this can grow and add to their range. Another great one for hair is http://www.everescents.com.au . Just brilliant, and if you have blonde streaks, the purple range will tone without chemicals. I get it from a chemical-free hairdresser (also advisable for auto-immune sufferers).
Sarah, maybe you could get everyone to write in with their favourite Aussie organic/chemical free product? I’d love to know more about what’s out there.

Signed up and signed up a friend

Hello,
Would LOVE to try this… Over the years I have tried many fake tans and always thought that they must have some nasties in them to change the colour of skin so I am so glad to have read about this on your blog and now I will just have to hope to be able to try some non-nasty tan so I can start wearing summer dresses without a glare
Thanks Sarah + EcoTan
Olivia

I bought my first bottle of Eco Tan just last week. Amazing product – very moisturising and I it’s amazing alter ego works so well as a self tanner. Love this giveaway!
[Reply]
Where can you buy this? I have tried just about every brand of fake tan and have proved to be allergic to them all. Nasty rash inevitably appears. Had resigned myself to being very very pale for the rest of my life. Would like to give this a try.
Thanks.

Thanks for all the information – just found your site recently and signed up for newsletter & instagram. I can’t stand the smell of fake tans and find it really hard to get one that doesn’t make me orange so stopped using them! Really glad there are more organic fake tans on the market to choose from. Now maybe my husband doesn’t have to wear sunglasses from the glare off my glowing white skin

Hi Sarah. Just signed up my sister. The fake tan though would be great for my 14 yo daughter. Anything to reduce the harmful chemicals in the other stuff she insists on using.

I’ve been wanting to try EcoTan for ages, but I’m a bit terrified of fake tan!! I’m probably the whitest person I’ve ever seen

Hi Sarah,
My mum will now have the pleasure of receiving your weekly wisdom.
I’m a fake tan addict but worry about the chemicals in the brands I use.
I’d love to start using a product that would safely change my complexion to be a little more chia seed rather than its natural coconut flesh tone… I think Eco Tan could help me out!
[Reply]
Hi Sarah,
Just signed up and looking forward to receiving your newsletter and reading your blog and trying a safe way to tan !

Been a member for a long time. referred my daughter and her friend to this site – my husband reads all your newsletters and we both have been on the less try and illiminate sugar from our diet.

Signed up! Yay for Aussie giveaways!
[Reply]
Signed up my daughter & thanks Eco Tan for the giveaways! Great to know of an Aussie self tan that does no harm. I hibernate in summer because I can’t handle the summer heat let alone sun baking so Eco Tan will make me more confident in my summer clothes. I’ll blend in instead of blinding people with my whiteness lol
[Reply]
I’m all signed up. Your post on the tanning earlier really inspired me, and I would love to try this ecotan!

I find it really disappointing that so many women are still too afraid to accept the natural colour of their skin. Even with gorgeous pale women like Emma Stone, Christina Hendricks, Naomi Watts, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cate Blachett, Scarlett Johansson – I could go on. Remember that a tan is not ‘a healthy glow’, it’s a visible sign that you have damaged your skin from too much time in the sun. Fake tan just continues to perpetuate the myth that everyone looks better with a tan, a dangerous statement which can lead impressionable young women to risk their health by sun baking. Here’s my take – if you’re worried about the chemicals in fake tanners, stop using them. Pale is beautiful.
[Reply]
All signed up & have been following you on FB for a while now! As I said on FB I have always had major reactions to fake tan, and after reading your article on natural DHA I’m stoked that maybe there are products which I won’t react to! I was actually going to email Eco Tan to see if they could provide me with a sample instead of purchasing a bottle. As you could image I have spent SO much money on fake tan over the years, using it once, have a reaction, then giving it away to friends. Anyway thanks for the article!
[Reply]
Just signed up and ready to get some fake summer tan!!!
