Join the daily discussions on the IQS facebook page, and get your questions answered by my team of nutritionists, naturopaths and “folk who’ve been there already”.

I’ll be doing two live FREE webinars during the 8 weeks to answer your questions (non-participants will be able to purchase after the program). You can sign up here in the meantime.

We’ll be sharing stacks of recipes along the way.

I’ll also be offering all tips, recipes and links on a FREE download at the end of the program (non-participants will be able to purchase after the program).

Hope to see you on the program!

I am curious to know if the iqs program and cookbook are workable for vegetarians and vegans?

    [Reply]

    Sarah Wilson Reply:

Yep…there are plenty of veg-based recipes in there… I do eat meat myself and advocate rich protein as part of the program, however coconut features heavily as do eggs and cheese (not so very much vegan). The cookbook has a number of vegan recipes.

I am on my third sugar free week ( after buying IQS when it was first released! Okay so it took me a while to commit) I imagined it would be almost impossible to live without sugar but it’s easier than I thought. Love the cookbook too – Coconutty granola is certainly my go to snack when I need a fix and oxidised nuts… so worth the effort!

My boyfriend and I are quitting sugar as of tomorrow! (I have been working on it for the last two weeks–unsweetened tea is a lifesaver!) So tonight we are having our junk food blowout at it were. What is REALLY helping me is watching youtube lectures by Dr. Robert Lustig, Andrew Weil, and others about the effects of sugar, the pros of traditional/unprocessed foods (a la Sally Fallon), and some bloggers who have quit sugar too. We will definitely be looking into your program Sarah for some good recipes! Eating more protein (via meat), coconut oil, quinoa (so filling!) and drinking loads of water is really helpful! Thanks for the heads up about the cookbook.

I understand the sentiment behind linking everything to Facebook: promotion, marketing etc etc, but as a “non-face-booker” am finding it more and more frustrating that all my favourite blogs (this one, nourished kitchen, food renegade et al) are seeming to more and more push Facebook onto readers). Is there anyway to still participate (if only partly) by only signing up for the newsletter?

I did this when Sarah first released the book in 2011. I have kept to it, however I reintroduced fruit and natural yoghurt as part of my breakfast and now I eat up to three sometimes four pieces of fruit each day. It is amazing having not had fruit for ages the shift it makes when you reintroduce it. I now find myself hungrier than when I was having eggs for breakfast. Plus I find that if i eat fruit, I tend to, because I feel hungrier, graze throughout the day a lot more. Might have to follow the program with you all, take out the fruit again for a while and see how I travel. It is interesting, given that fruit is supposedly a healthy choice, just how overpowering if can become – all that sugar!

  • Great timing to take us up until Christmas. It will be good to get back into the swing of sugar free again after a recent indulgent holiday to Hawaii.
I will have it down pat again before all those tempting Christmas parties that begin next month. The health benefits are so worth it.

I don’t eat much sweet stuff apart from fruit so I’m thinking of going straight to Week 3.

One question, however: do I have to give up my morning half a lemon squeezed into half a glass of hot water? Googling around, I find a lemon contains 1.5g of fructose, but it makes such a great start to the day…
